Filling Up Fast for Thanksgiving

The sycamores are just beginning to turn yellow and we are definitely seeing spots of color on Turkey Mountain; the bluff overlooking the river.
Autumn is a special time on the river and the fishing is exceptional this time of year.
We have many customers who have made Thanksgiving at White Buffalo Resort a family tradition- as evidenced by the photo on the left! We have a few cabins still available; make your plans soon.

White Buffalo Round Up II

The "Sisters on the Fly" are being welcomed back to the White Buffalo Resort for the second time! These gals will pull their vintage trailers from around the country to camp with us, fly fish the White River, canoe the Buffalo, or horseback ride at Stone Creek Ranch. The dates are September 24-27. They claim "they have more fun than anyone" and obviously they did last spring! We look forward to another wonderful Fall weekend with this group of women.

Catch & Release

Posted by Picasa

We recently had a visit from Jim Tingey, angler, painter, conservationist and owner of Catch & Release Artwork; an alternate to the mount and photo method of commemorating that special catch. This was just one of the browns he caught and released while fishing our stretch of the river. If you are considering a great way to commemorate a young person's first fish or make a special gift for your favorite angler, visit catchandreleaseartwork.com.
